Mermaidskin Leather

One of my current crafts projects. I think it's what an actual crochet master would call a wave afghan (it's not obvious from the photo, but it has a wave texture effect as well), but I added a scaly texture effect and then did it in rainbow scrap yarn and called it mermaid skin.

Every stripe is a different color yarn, and the width of stripe determined entirely by how much yarn there was; this section has about 70 separate colors in it. (And I've run out of balls of yarn between 1.5-.5 oz; the project is on hold until I generate some more.)
